saturday 2
continuing from yesterday.
i vow to serve my customers more personally if i get the chance to work in the service sector in the future.
i kind of agree with the 'TODAY' headline article yesterday regarding the ever declining service standards of Singapore.
after meeting student yesterday, dragged Ben along with me to HRC, haha, we got like 2++ hours to spend before going to church and we didnt want to go home. When we entered HRC, was surprised that there was no one at the entrance to serve us, or rather she was busy talking on the phone when we entered. we loitered around for a while, waiting to be served, but she was just too busy talking on the phone that i dont think she noticed we've arrived, will she even notice if the president had arrived? well, she could have signalled to us, to show that she acknowledged our arrival. if only she did so, i'll be glad to wait for her, you know, its a kind of polite gesture, you feel welcomed. is it so hard to feel our presence when we are standing just a foot away from her? unknowingly we proceeded to seat ourselves down, only to be stopped by her. rudely she rattled off a series of words like 'you wait to be served, dont just walk in like that ok'. What attitude! Ben mumbled some form of retaliation she must have heard but pretended not to. So she permised herself to walk us to the table which we were at already and said, 'there!', before finishing off with a mechanical 'enjoy your lunch'. nasty service i say. searched for a feedback form on the table but there was none.
But the rest of the crew are generally good, i commend them, good'o people who are plain happy to serve us, i call that good'o service. We chilled there..
then we went back to BPP to buy bread to church. church service was good, our youth service is growing i feel, thank God yes.
pray: for Ben, Jia Yan, each other, O-leavers : disciplined to study and understand what we are revising or studying.
