i love the message tonight, really, its a zip through of Christian worship. all the aspects, our lives(testimony) to glorify Him, the blessings we count, the joy & freedom & pride we have in God and out of gratefulness we give to God.
From a bible study on Romans in the morning,
As ambassadors, representatives of Christ, how well do we reflect Christ, glorify Christ in our lives?
Do we know the gospel that we say we believe in?
Coincidentally, that was what i wanted to share in my testimony later that night. As one of the reflective points i've collected from the mission trip is that fellow Christians don't know what they're believing in, (when a guy comes up to you and is interested to know about the gospel, will you know how to tell him? what will you say?), ironic isn't it, when Christians are unable to proclaim their faith. what is your faith like? what do you believe in? i think it plays a major part in the lack of confidence we have in sharing the gospel, the other, of course is our pride.
There are other means too, like for the younger ones who may not know how to share the gospel- bringing friends for evangelistic events is an effective way :)
so i really thank God, for equipping me with the skills and knowledge of the basic gospel when i was still a young Christian. Thank God as He use me to teach others what i was taught now.
Of course, it'll take kazillion of years for us to fully comprehend the gospel, but true faith stems from wanting to have this relationship with God. i struggle with that always- the bible is so wordy, but i must take God's Word seriously, only then will we come to know God. and only then we can proudly and accurately proclaim the gospel!
*claps* for Ning's sharing. *claps* for Pastor's teaching!
