thank God: 3 weeks left to Prelims & i'm working hard.

just a moment ago, i was doing my work in front of the tv, i was tuned in to CNN, they had this sailing programme on air, something like those weekly review/ highlights show for a particular sport. Then, out of somewhere, appeared my friend. For around a long 10 seconds on air too. Ok, nonetheless the focus was on this Pakistani gal who obtained a sponsorship to the prestigious World Youths held in the exact spot London will be staging its sailing events coming 2012 Olympics. Still, the rise of Singapore sailing- from minnows to major contenders in world events is as prominent as ever now.

They have made their landfall in the world arena. Likewise China & India have come. the Russian wave hit the tennis scene couple of years ago. i'm proud of Singapore sailing's achievements. Conversely, Singapore should throw away soccer, which they have loyally stood behind with fullest support, but perpetually, and unsurprisingly, produced little results and consistent poor performances. Still, ridiculously, SNOC (olympic council of Spore) shockingly announced weeks ago that the Lions (they must be little more than cats) will be going to asian games end of this year. Are you angry? Water Polo obviously deserve better chances of going, being consecutive champions in Southeast Asia for as long as i can remember, they were snubbed by SNOC, latter claiming they weren't good enough to compete among other Asia nations. What a lame excuse. Is Singapore still sticking to the idiotic goal of reaching World Cup in 2010? pigs will fly lor, how embarassing if Singapore can't make it, an important enough issue i feel PM Lee Hsien Loong should've addressed last nite.
it takes all Singaporeans to stop playing soccer to bring the message across.

Don't think it doesn't affect you normal civilians. We are tax payers (my parent is), and they're investing this money in promoting soccer for the good of Singapore. How myopic can these people be? wild investment.
'Majoring on the minor' -XL (sorry, not Hsien loong)

i'm extremely excited for upcoming Asian Games- 100 days to go, nothing from my side yet, where i think my friend will likely walk away with a gold, or silver, i daresay they'll be a serious & major contender for a medal. Doesn't come easy though, unbelievable amount of effort they put in. How sad, his fleet is not included in the Olympics discipline.

sorry i know the above is unnecessary.

thank God for today, i withstood the temptation to 'pon' maths. actually i did 'pon', but my friend came back and told me it was on a topic i hadn't expect the teacher to cover today. need to repent.

the spiritual gifts observation form is 1/3 filled. Very accurate i must say, the 1st person who filled it for me. i was just hoping for healing, exorcist, or miracles. ahhahahaaha.
