hi Philippians!

had a wonderful time in church today!

oh wait, as i'm typing this, Man Utd just lost...

ok back to blogging, church was great today, during street e met a street contact and was largely disturbed by his thoughts and responses. Singing during Praise and Worship was refreshing too, although skipped some parts. message was assuring about our service in church to God. then later on Getky episode 1 was pretty hilarious, kind of resemble a DJ doing live gameshows, hahaha. Sunday School lesson served as a timely reminder to trust in God as we stand before trials and tests, as it develops perseverence.

my exams are looming near, i dread it, oh God, encourage and motivate me.

hmm... watching the progress of Hurricane Rita today planted a few thoughts within me...

you sure you have no idea?

its me
the one and only
miss eunice

heh
i guess
i better post something here
before this blog becomes
'vinch of philippi'
haha

had a lot of fun yesterday at huey's place
thanks huey
for putting us up
haha
hmmm let me see
huey was giving piano lesson
ed was doing dnt
dizzy was with his 'wife'
ie angel the laptop
vinch was lazying about
me was studying chem
alkenes to be exact
at a really sloooooooow speed
bleh
time flies

i like being with the fellowship
somehow the feeling is different
from being with my other group of friends
or with school people
thank God for this bunch of brothers and sisters
heh
now i have a lot of siblings
wheehaha

oh ya
vinch
stop feeling insecure
about the jeans
haha
he was pulling his jeans every few steps
cuz he was wearing his brother's

ate dinner with ed

hey
lets have phi-ians outing after promos!!!

went to the 'leadership camp'
learn quite a lot
i guess in a way
God was trying to speak to me
one thing that i've came to realise
is that
i may not like some people
because of their conduct or whatsoever
but
it doesnt mean that i cannot work with them
hence
i shall have a more open heart

i realise that i can work under 'tough conditions'
fatigue
hunger
the 'icky feeling' from perspiration
hence
the camp 'stretch' me

and also on social skills

i am considering ogl-ing next year
cuz
i think that i can help me in church work
and also
to know more jjcians
cuz
it really humbles me
it really shows me that the statement
'tripS are among the best and brightest'
is but an assumption
utterly false
make my view of jj less bleak
and
i dont want to be like a nerd trippers at the end of two years
i dont want to be like them
i want to be the exception

its good to mix around

and above all
to glorify God in everything i do

have a good week ahead
muacks

4 Philippians & 1 Philiyian & THE WIFE

DeZhang's wife is so uncooperative and she is a crazy and loose object and no one understands her, well, no one except DeZhang, probably thats why they exist together in likeness, and thats perfectly understandable.

the methods that make us affirm that she is mad is the way she munches up the entries we are trying to publish, on our way to making this beautiful entry in huEy's house where Eunice was typing out her first words to be published on this blog. Then, inches to completion, she decided to unleash herself from the chains and to devour the entry. not once, but twice! that promptly led to Eunice throwing her arms up in the air in disgust and helplessness.
Hope you'll still try to blog here Eunice, you could have slammed her anyway.

but i felt very encouraged when i saw how DeZhang still stood by his beloved wife and did nothing to cover up for her disobedience. furthermore, he is taking good care of her now- got her new clothes, not the one that everyone can spit and step on, but a black one(i'm not sure why he got that- is it because people cant witness the bruises?). DeZhang snaps at me when i try to (massage those bruises) touch her, its very encouraging to see such a faithful husband :) jia you dezhang.

oh, and thanks really to the wife, we got to witness city harvest church services, left me skeptical regarding some issues, mainly healing and speaking in tongues.

pray for those having prelims k.
Edna, Ken, Christopher, Benjamin, Jia Yan
have a great week ahead everybody

da huey-- I was trying to ask you something like: can you smell chicken, can u smell chicken, can u smell chicken
ahhaha... but after so many times of me repeating you still can't catch it and the guy heard it and he said... YES! ahhahahaha....

e farewell at Singapore international airport

huEy: i'm addin on some more posts!!
here goes...

Excerpt from the thoughts of huEy:
6th sept 05.
the day which marks the closure of a chapter in Pastor Cross's life.
and! the beginnin of another new one.

on the way to SIA and back-
a very crowded journey.
met a friendly passenger onboard the MRT.
one who responded to xiao phong's: I smell chicken! (kfc to b exact.. )
can't recalled what he said though...

Xiaophong & I were actually on e same train as Chiazy!
we all boarded together at Bugis, wifout knowin.
only realised when we all switched trains at TanahMerah.

Was playin around wif the cameras from TanahMerah to SIA.
Will post our artworks online sometime later.
a laughin good time ( seems like im the one laughin madly)

Rather crowded at the airport,
(the crowd sendin off Pastor Cross)
Many of our fellow Bpgc-ians were there to bade farewell.
Rather difficult for us to hav some time to talk to him.
It was more like another chance to catch up wif other Bpgc-ians as well!

oh! and our farewell gift,
became an object for photography for fellow Bpgc-ians takin
photogs wif Pastor Cross.
Kudos to Chiazy who came up wif the idea
and cheers to all! who made the gift happen!

It seems my years of experience as a teacher paid off.
came up wif some ways to end the fun of the kids.
or Stop their fun i think..haha!!

its like nearin 2330, and we made up our mind to go home,
catch the pre-mid nite cab, save some $,
and try to catch Pastor Cross b4 he boards e plane.
(Read: Alvin's post! )

Chiazy and Xiaophong enjoyed the tranquil ride home!
the journey back on the road
: a reflection of how life is like. from zero traffic to bz traffic.
( tis's another excerpt i guess... the nxt post maybe)

The moments to talk with Pastor Cross were rather brief.
But thanksgivin to God we made it there!

The closure of a chapter marks the beginnin of a new one.
A New and excitin journey awaits Pastor Cross i believe.
May God bless and guide him in his ministries in China.
All the best Pastor Cross!

And fellow philippians...
let's con't to keep Pastor Cross in prayers, and remember the important lessons he taught us.

huEy will add on to the posts later on...

just came back from the airport, went to send Pastor Cross (yong liang) off with Edna and huEy.
haha, he was so happy when he received the boards we made for him, could see the joy on his face :)

we took photos and hung around for a while before scurrying off to catch a cab home. haha, partly because we wanted to avoid the midnight charge, but also, we had hoped to bang into him as he had went to terminal 2 to settle some baggage problems. Haha, just as we had finished our long and slow walk from check-in row 1 till the end, we spotted him coming out of the sky-train!! haha, we got what we wanted, a personal time of bidding farewell, but it wasnt long, it was a brief and simple goodbye. as he had to rush back to where his belongings and the others were at row 1.
ah, just like in the dramas, we waved the final time as we made our way down the escalator into the arrival hall, where we boarded a taxi home.
the taxi ride was great, very very smooth, kinda enjoying it, few cars on the road, long journey, wow.

take care Pastor Cross and thanks for the past 2 months. :)

gosh.

ever sat in front of the tv lately and watch the news, or tuning in to the BBC or even sitting there reading the papers intently? i guess the disaster did hit me badly, when i watched the exclusive and comprehensive round-the-clock coverage of the worsening situations in South East of US. argh! these images really prick me ok, especially when they are like holding live press conferences to update the world of the growing list of casualties even as i'm typing this out now.... its quite scary i say. the extent of the damage i didn realise until today.
Dengue Fever, skin diseases, natural disasters( fire in Europe, floods in US etc.), etc etc etc
am i prepared?

Hey there

i am so thankful for yesterday! had a wonderful time altogether.

i hadnt expect much the night before, thought i would probably go home and sleep after teachers' Day celebrations. But then later in the night i found Shao Ning to go lunch with me, finally i tried HRC set lunch which turned out to be of good value. Got a good seat, good ambience, only that it was little bit noisy and the fact that they were showing ESPN instead of their usual hair-raising oldies was extrodinary, kinda inappropriate. Hopefully i didnt really make you go broke SN. but all in all the lunch was great.

Then at the end i received a msg from a good mate. I was elated, wanted lately to have a time of catching up with him but because of his extreme busy schedule we werent able to. went down to Bukit Timah Market to meet him. It was momentous, we sat down among the empty tables with a sugar cane drink and a dessert, talking our language as SN puts it. these kind of companionship bounded by the close relationship we have that i feel most comfortable with, it is so absent in the circumstances i'm in now. i truly treasured the 2 hours we spent, freely pouring out and filling each other about ourselves.

Unfortunately i had to leave at 430pm to meet my classmates for econs work. Back to my shell i guess.

There are so many SJI people i long to meet again.

Thank you Lord for arranging and planning this day.

God will make a way, when there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.
